These will be my lists of what I think are the best disc releases of any given year, taken from my “What’s Old Is A New Release Again” column. The exact order on the lists will be a combination of my opinion of the movie itself and the film transfer. The length of the list generally depends on how many I am able to acquire and review within the year of their release (up to the list being published on Thanksgiving Day). Most lists will probably start out as “Top 5” on Thanksgiving Day and be updated to a “Top 10” (but no higher) when I have seen more. For now, that is the best I can promise, since I don’t receive any review copies and must be able to buy the movies myself.
